A Young Person is defined as someone under 18, but older than 16 years of age - in order to safely support people in this category during your visit to Your Baby Scan, we have some additional requirements that customers must comply with.
Anyone aged 16 years or above is deemed competent to be able to give their own consent to medical treatment, however we do require that any Young People attending must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian at all times whilst in our clinics. We believe that whilst Young People can make their own decisions, pregnancy at a young age can be a very daunting and worrying experience filled with emotions. We feel that parents and guardians are best placed to be able to provide support and guidance throughout this experience.
In addition to this restriction, Young People should wait until at least the 9th week of pregnancy before attending an appointment with us.
Failure to comply with these requirements may result in your appointment being cancelled.
